UK Assistance(RBS Insurance Group)

Oakside Environmental provides an exclusive recycling service primarily to the
motor trade.UK assistance is their biggest customer, as they have sixteen accident repair
centers around the country ranging in size from 20,000 sq ft to 90,000 sq ft.
The policy holders of the RBS Group (Direct Line and Churchill customers) bring their damaged cars to these centers.

UK Assistance (the brand name for the accident repair centers) creates a good deal ofwaste during the process of car repair. This waste includes cardboard and plastic components such as bumpers, headlights etc. Oakside Environmental has supplied Mardon Balers to each of the UK Assistance sites.

These balers vary in size from the 55kg to the 650kg.The large balers will create mill size
cardboard bales which are sent to the recyclers. The large balers are also used to
make bales of plastic which are also sent to recyclers.
The smaller balers are also used to crush the paint cans (RBS uses only water based paints), which can be recycled for the metal content.
Using Mardons balers Oakside is able to recycle over 80% of waste produced by UK assistance. By doing this UK Assistance is doing their part to help the environment and saving on landfill charges.

Vines BMW Group

Vines Group own a number of large BMW dealerships the South East of England.
In keeping with the BMW recycling ethos, they wish to maximise the recycling potential of their dealerships waste production.

Oakside Environmental provides exclusive waste for recycling management services for
the Vines Group. Each dealership was provided with a Mardon Baler to deal with the large volume of Cardboard waste created.. By doing this, the cardboard is segregated at source, and baled on site. By doing this the reduction made by the balers have saved on valuable storage space at each of the dealerships.
Oakside Environmental collects these balas, along with all of the rest of the recyclable
waste .and brings it back to one of their recycling centers .
